The Ogun state LG election is scheduled to hold in all the 20 Local Governments come July 24, 2021.
Evangelist Olusegun Omoyayi, the PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Ifo Local Government for the on-coming local government elections in Ogun State has declared his missions.
According to him, ”My mission is to change the narrative of “Promise and Fail” which is presently the order of the day in politics. I will by the Grace of GOD prove that it is possible to fulfill promises made to the ELECTORATES, I envision a local government that respects the “wills, wishes, aspirations and needs of people” A local government that answers to people’s yearnings by way of providing essential primary needs of the people in as many areas as possible of their day to day life”.
Highlighting his promises, he stated that his government will handle roads, education, agriculture, security, community development associations and health differently from the way they’ve been handled by preceding governments.
Omoyayi added that, People will begin to have accessible roads, access to cheap but qualitative education, partnership with local and peasants farmers, improved security surveillance, organized community development and people’s health will be innovatively and technically handled.
However, Omoyayi said,
this is his first time to become a candidate, though he had made an attempt in 2016 but stepped down even before primaries to allow another aspirant to contest and in order to fulfill, I have always carried with me party’s programme as a democrat.” I have never occupied a public office. I have always carried with me the mind of serving the people as their servant. I heeded to God’s calling telling me to go and serve my people, he concluded.
Omoyayi who was born in Portharcourt is an indigene Ifo Local Government Area. He had his primary school education in Zaria, his Secondary School education at Ojota Secondary School and Tertiary Institution at Yaba College of Technology. He is presently doing a degree programs with Open University of Nigeria.
